MyCharee Miller

My City

Grinders, let me introduce you to MyCharee Miller. She is a hard working foot to the pavement Hip Hop Artist in the City of Jackson, Mississippi. Here is a intro to her journey into the “Spotlight”.

RYG: Tell us the story behind your name.

MM: My dad named me, he said; “since it’s my child” that’s where the “my” came from, my Dad’s Father name Charles, so that’s where the “cha” came from and my mothers maiden name is Reid that’s where the “ree” came from – developing my MyCharee.

RYG: When and How did your musical journey begin?

MM: Being a Preacher’s kid, I listened to gospel all the time. My cousin and I would gather at my granny’s house and make songs. One day, my sisters along with my cousins, introduced me to Youtube, rap, and R&B…it was over with. I fell in love with the sound. In 2012, I did a remake of Lil Wayne’s “How to Love” as well as performed with other artists during the time I attended college (Alcorn State University).

RYG: Why did you choose Rap?

MM: Rap gives me a way to release the frustration of life.

RYG: Who are some of your influencers?

MM: I started with Lil Boosie, Gucci Man, Gang, and Crime Mob. Lately, I notice my music is influenced by Kevin Gates, Money Bag, and Carbi B.

RYG: What can we expect from your music?

MM: Fire and Flames from my lyrics. I am very versatile and my music shows that.

RYG: What are your plans for the future?

MM: I want to be known for greatness. I want my music to be known for centuries. I am focused and determined to be a legend.

Keep Grinding, we can’t wait to see what the future hold for you.
