How long have you been in the Industry?
DV: I have been with my industry for about 3 years now.
We enjoyed watching your video, where did the concept for “Run it back” come from?
DV: The concept of “Run It Back” game from making a bet with a few associates of mine and loosing the bet very badly, lol. I said ,“let’s run it back yo!” Then I lost again! So I said, “ Mannnnn we should double that!” I am so competitive, I ended up winning all of my money and 2x more for having that resilient feeling of wanting to run it back.
What are some of the issues of today that have impacted your music?
DV: Some issues that I’ve been having that has impacted my music would be the listeners point of view. To be honest most music consumers are use to one sound, one topic, one way of rapping. Most listeners don’t want to hear about real scenarios that aren’t fabricated. So it becomes a challenge for the listener to comprehend a lot of the topics I touch on.
Are you working on any new projects?
DV: Yes. I am working on a New Project that will be released by the end of this month (November). The 9 track EP will be named “BaltimoreTrap-SoulMuzik”. The project will have a huge range of: Neo-Soul, Hip-Hop, R&B and Jazz. Anyone that listens will be drawn by the unique combination of this sound innovation.
