Hailing from Baltimore, Maryland, Bryan Lyrics, formerly known as GhostridDa, began writing at the age of 14 while attending Northern High School. His early influences include Bone Thugs n Harmony, AZ, Nas, The Neptunes, Kanye West, Notts, & 9th Wonder.
He attended Full Sail University in 2002 where he studied Recording Arts. Although he didn’t graduate, he still came home to do his own recordings, productions and did work with other local artist such as Jai Poetic, Poetless, Audi Future, Arcieri Keness and others.
In 2003, Beet Boyz, a musical trio consisting of Bryan Lyrics, J. Grizzly, & Reelest, was founded by J.Grizzly. While they are still growing as a group, in 2014, Bryan and J. Grizzly teamed up with MAM Records (Motivated Artist Making Records) to further their musical careers.
Prier to the newly founded team up, Lyrics and his Beet Boy team produced two mixtapes and two albums starting late 2010 to early 2014. Chronic Illness (2010), Bryan’s first attempt, he composes a collection of brand new songs, solely off of the instrumentals from Dr. Dre’s The Chronic 2001. We have Food For Thoughtless (2012), where he brings motivation whether you want it or not. Also, he gave us Christmas In July (2012), where he clamed to be hip-hop’s gift. Lastly, there is A Pen, A Pad, and a whole lot of LOVE (2014), where he dedicates the whole hip-hop album to the love of PPL.
He has performed at prestigious venues such as the Eubie Blake National Jazz Institute and Cultural Center, Showtime Theatre, Arena Players Inc., The 5 Seasons (now the Hott Spott), & Sonar & The Talking Head Club. Even taking his shows to states such as New York and Philadelphia.
Currently Bryan Lyrics, Beet Boyz Musik and MAM Records together are working on Bryan’s latest project entitled God Is Great The Album which will be released this year on MAM Records. Keep Your eyes open. You don’t want to miss this.
