Natalie Cole (February 6, 1950-December 31, 2015)
Natalie Cole; multiple Grammy Award Winning Artist, was an astonishing vocalist. She always presented herself with grace and class…regardless of life circumstances.
Natalie was the daughter of Nat King Cole. At the age of eight (8) her love for music became evident. In the 70’s, she rose to musical success with hits; “This will Be”, “Inseparable”, and “Our Love”.
There was a period in her musical journey that took her on a detour of self-discovery -returning in the 80’s with a force with a hit album; “Everlasting”. Then in the 90’s Natalie re-recorded standards of “Unforgettable” with the accompany of Nat’s voice echoing in the background, which became her most successful hit. This duet melted my heart because it was during the time my father pasted -making this song “Unforgettable” to me.
