…Trying to kill our knowledge
Last year, there was News story about three teachers at Howard University Middle School (90% African American) being fired for teaching “Black History”. Oh, I didn’t tell you that those teachers were Social Study Teachers. I may be wrong but they teacher history, right? But I haven’t heard anything else about it!!!! Why?
Hosea 4:6
My people are destroyed for lack of knowledge: because thou hast rejected knowledge,
I will also reject thee, that thou shalt be no priest to me: seeing thou hast forgotten the law of thy God,
I will also forget thy children.
Ok, this is what I don’t understand! The principal, which is African American at a Predominantly African middle school, at a predominantly African American University, fired teachers for teaching predominantly African American Students their history. MMMmmm, not only were they fired but with Office escorts.
I am so confused!!! Why are you trying to kill our history?
If it wasn’t for African Americans, the United States wouldn’t have much history. This country was built on the sweat, tears, and literally backs of the African Americans of Ole.
Yes! ma’am and sir, I am pointing fingers at a mirror that points back at us; African Americans.
We are allowing the powers that be (whomever they are) to erase our culture; our music, our grind, and our history…better yet, we are helping them by not telling our children about the history that this country was founded on.
Let’s get it together….
