Ray Vic, Open minded Lyricist

RYG: How long have you been in the industry?

Ray Vic-  I’ve been writing, recording, and performing 12 years.

RYG: What type of music influenced you?

Ray Vic-  R&B was was my first influence as a kid. Once I was introduced to Run DMC, I wanted to be just like them. The 80’s era intrigued me to want to do music, then the 90’s groomed me. I didn’t start taking it to the next level until 2002. I started traveling and meeting artist from different areas. Then my creativity started to evolve.

RYG:  How would you describe your lyrical style?

Ray Vic–  My style is smooth. I’m a laid back artist that can turn up when I want to. Almost like different personalities. I’m an open minded lyricist with a lot of substance, I’m actually saying something in my songs.

RYG: Give some words inspiration?

Ray Vic–  Never give up on anything you aspire to do. Anything that is worth it takes time. You have to invest in yourself so others will invest in you. Believe in yourself because if you don’t, no one will believe in you. It might sound cliche, but it’s the truth!!  God bless us with certain talents and we have to recognize what’s those true talents are. Last but not least, be persistent and Consistant…. You have to put yourself out there as much as possible!!
