“God is the Awesome Creator, I am the Instrument” Is the personal mantra of Ms. Vedette Scott, Chief Merchandising Officer of Magni Merchandising Group and Owner/designer of Vedette Scott Collections. Born in Delaware and raised in Durham, North Carolina she migrated to New York in December 1994 to follow her dream of attending Fashion Institute of Technology in the Buying and Merchandising program. She began making and selling clothes to finance her income and the overwhelming response birth the collection .With the motivation of a very supportive family, Ms. Scott is still forging ahead with innovative designs in her full figured ready to wear fashion line.

Vedette Scott Collections was created for the chic full figured woman who wants to feel well put together. With “Simple but Elegant” masterpieces, the collection concentrates on offering women classic elegance with unique styles and an enthusiasm for color and textures, exemplifying sophistication and femininity. Vedette Scott centers the collection on the mission of her “Cover me Beautiful” philosophy which is dedicated to covering the full figured woman with the finest and highest quality in unique fashions from head to toe. 

The journey hasn’t been easy and became even harder in January 2011, when she was diagnosed with stage 3 ovarian cancer. After undergoing emergency surgery and chemotherapy, her faith in God’s plan for her life never wavered. Unfortunately with 2 years in remission, the cancer returned in 2013. Although she is currently battling colon cancer, her passion to fulfill the dream still burns bright with scheduled fashion shows and speaking engagements.
