De’Rodd Hearns, Ultimate Grinder
De’Rodd Hearns was born in West Baltimore in a drug stricken area. In 1997, De’Rodd’s family was the cornerstone for the book known as “The Corner: A Year in the Life of an Inner-City Neighborhood”, which later turned into a HBO mini-series.
De’Rodd also had a minor role on “The Wire” as a street level drug dealer during the first three (3) seasons. De’Rodd worked as a Production Assistant and later made move to an Assistant Editor for HBO’s, “The Wire”. Right after that great opportunity, De’Rodd attended The Sheffield Institute for the Recording Arts and Broadcasting….he’s a smart man.
De’Rodd is a 15-year veteran in the business of entertainment; he edits videos, does photography, graphics work, Acts, and is also a Radio Personality on “Ripped Radio Network”. I guess you could say…he is an Ultimate Grinder. He is also the Co-Founder of “3rd Eye Radio” one of the leading Internet Radio Shows in Baltimore.
These days De’Rodd still resides in Baltimore the city in which gave him his passion. He hopes to expose the true talents of Baltimore natives… while still challenging his self in his craft of film making –to one day start his own company.
