SMOKEHOUSE ENTERTAINMENT INC. is an independent record label based in Jackson, MS. “Tha Smokehouse” was established in 2005, by its C.E.O. Andrew “Scottie Pimpen” Dent. The Love City Players (LCP) is a lyrically potent group of emcees from the heart of Mississippi. The core of the group consists of three blood brothers, Scottie Pimpen, Rod C., and T. Snow who grew up as hip hop fans as well as emcees. The first prominent song release by the LCP was “We Ballin” featuring London Smith. This track relays the laid back melodic feel of the southern lifestyle. The retail albums that have been released are entitled: The Trilogy Volume 1, The Trilogy Volume 2, and Welcome to the Smokehouse. Each of these albums is available for purchase at online outlets including iTunes, Spotify, CDBaby, and Rhapsody.
Their lyrical content and styles have been called a concoction of 8Ball & MJG, UGK, and Outkast. Inspirational music for the streets is how their style of music is most commonly described. Their lyrical ability and content are on par with the leading hip hop artists nationwide. The LCP combines dope emcees with top notch production to present potent flavor they call RIDE MUSIC.
