Author LAZ
Laz is from Tulsa, Oklahoma. He has a Bachelors of Arts degree in Political Science and a Masters of Business Administration Degree. His journey started as a self-employed book editor and tutor, but the desire to put pen to paper overtook him -causing him to give up tutoring and dive head first into the world of words. In 2015, Laz penned his first novel, entitled, “A Hustla’z Life”. Now, A Hustla’z Life 2 is ready to experience.
Do you have a ritual before writing your stories?
LAZ: I wouldn’t call what I do a ritual, however, I do tend to watch television shows such as The Wire before I write. Since I didn’t grow up surrounded by the criminal element; I needed a little kick start to get the creative juices flowing.
How would you describe your writing style?
LAZ: I write about things that really happen…creating a fantasy world that transcends into reality -making the story that much more interesting.
Besides writing, what other passions do you have?
LAZ: I am a big music fan; I guess that would be my other passion. I use to make my own mixtapes, even though, I don’t get a chance to dabble in it as much as I used to. There was something about transitioning and blending songs.
Word of Inspiration.
I have so often heard people joke around about writing a book. I have done the same, but it doesn’t become real until someone around you actually does it. I would encourage anyone out there that thinks they have a book in their head to put pen to paper and see what comes. You just might surprise yourself and those around you.
