Spotlight: A PHAT Girl’s Confession….

Ebony Daniels, Author

Ebony Daniels was born in Baltimore, MD.  Coming from a lyrical family that is filled with musicians, she found love in writing poetry at the age of 10. As she got older, she found that poetry was a great way to release her feelings and cope with her emotions. For the past 5 years she has felt that she was called to do more and help others on a larger platform. She spent those years searching for a way to make a difference and came up short at every attempt. At 25 years old she finally understood and accepted her calling into the literary world. Poetry evolved into telling a story and her first book, “Confessions of a Fat Girl” was born. With a strong belief that words can bring life or destruction, she plans to continue writing and speaking life into her readers. She wants to encourage others to be better, feel better and live better. She is currently working on a faith based novel that will be released in the Winter of 2014. Stay tuned because there is so much more to come from this up and coming author.

Book Info:

1795605_1445051492396916_470573130_n“Confessions of a Fat Girl” was released on February 9, 2014. This book explores my personal experiences with weight gain, loss and depressions. I share my different confessions such as, “Men Make You Eat” and “Dieting Sucks.” Through personal stories that are sometimes sad and many times funny, I capture what many women experience with weight. I decided to write this book because so many women are hiding their true feelings about their weight, health and happiness.  I know because I was one of those women. This book forced me to be real with myself and vulnerable as I released my story to the world.  My goal is to inspire, empower and encourage other women to be honest with themselves and to push towards a healthier lifestyle. I want to show them that they are not alone in the journey, but it can be done. I believe that every woman, regardless of size will read this book and shake her head, saying to herself, “That’s me.” A fat girl is not just determined by size. A lot of us have fat girl mentalities and will be able to relate to the different stories being told.

I categorize this as a self-help/inspirational book because it offers advice on how to deal with the rough patches, the plateaus in weight loss and the depressions that accompanies obesity at times. I talk about everything from food addiction to food therapy and even sex. I can proudly say that I have lost 27 pounds since beginning the book and I am well on my way to reaching my weight goal.  Confessions_of_A_Fat_Cover_for_Kindle (2)
